Bradbury Mountain State Park
Acquired from the federal government in 1939, Bradbury is one of Maine’s original state parks. Lamoine State Park
Located on Frenchman’s Bay, this oceanfront state park is located on one of the most sought after vacation regions in Maine. It spans ninety-five acres and it’s open from May 15 through October 15. In addition to camping, visitors can also enjoy sea kayaking, fishing, and watching wildlife.
Mt. Blue State Park
Located in the mountainous region of western Maine, Mt. Blue is the largest state park in the state. Encompassing approximately 8,000 acres, it’s almost two parks in one. The lakeside area is where you will find 136 well-shaped campsites designed for both tents and trailers. In addition to camping, visitors can also enjoy activities such as paddling, hiking, and exploring the innovative Nature Center.
Camden Hills State Park
Located a few minutes from the quintessential New England town of Camden, this state park is home to the highest peak on the mainland. It’s a moderate climb to the top, and it offers picturesque views of Penobscot Bay. Campers will also find activities such as harbor cruises and whale watching.
