Winton Woods Campground Is A Perfect Getaway
If you’re looking for a nice weekend getaway, consider giving Winton Woods Campground a try. Located just twenty minutes north of Cincinnati, it’s an ideal place for a quick family camping trip. According to their website, the campground is “set in a pine grove alongside Winton Woods Lake and is within easy walking distance of Winston Woods Harbor, and the boathouse, snake bar and wet playground.”
When you get there, you’ll find plenty of fun things to do. Obviously, the location is ideal for those interested in boating, but the park also offers several amenities. There’s Wi-Fi access throughout the park. There’s also a camp store, a cafe, a group activity shelter, and a playground.
Camping That Won’t Cost An Arm & Leg
There are twenty-five RV back-in sites which offer a gravel pad with a patio. These sites run $38.50 a night. There’s an additional twelve pull through sites which offer a concrete pad, and they cost $48.50 a night. All the RV sites offer full hook-ups to water, sewage and electricity. If tent camping is more your thing, sixty-eight tents sites are available for $28.50 a night. All the camp sites include a picnic table and a fire ring.
Every weekend in October, Winton Woods Campground closes out the season by offering the “Halloween Creepy Campout.” Perfect for the whole family, the creepy campout features trick-or-treating, hay rides and storytelling. There are also contests for the best Jack-o’-Lantern and best decorated campsite.
